Statement
I paint/print dreams, particularly when they appear as nostalgia. Most of the times, I dream in a daytime with open eyes and like to dream impossible things, so they turn-up as a nostalgia very easily. I try to interpret my dreams with outburst of such emotions, energy and illumination, through the unique combinations of colour, texture and unpredictable shapes. To transform my dreams in a visual essay and in order to divvy them up in a contemporary and abstract form, I use three mediums. Paper collage, Acrylic on canvas and Aquatints in print. I love to experiment with my drawing, painting and the integration of a variety of textural materials. I collect and add collage items that are in direct relationship with the subject of my work. My artistic expression involves playing with the tactile surfaces that come alive with their own uniqueness. That's why each of my work has something different and unique about it, like my dreams and emotions.
May the passion I experience describing my expressions through the artwork transfer to you, the viewer.
